Tour To Chernobyl

9:00
Depart From Kiev for Chernobyl

11:00 Arrival followed by meeting with the guide at the Dytyatky block post

11:00-17:00 You pass documents, transport and luggage control. Then the guide tells you about the behaviour in the zone and how to use protection frame. First photo-stop will be near the monument to courageous firemen of Chernobyl - people who saved the world. Then you’ll visit the office of the Chernobylinterinform State Agency, where you will get full and last information about the liquidation of the catastrophic consequences in the 30 km zone.

After that you’ll visit the 30 kilometres zone through Leliv block post. You will be impressed by the tidy revetment on the edges of the road, studded with yellow signs. These ramparts are places of conservation of radio-active garbage and of remainders from whole villages.

The second photo-stop will be near the 4th reactor of the station. You will be 100 m. from the main closed object of the zone! You can greet the employees of the station. Later you’ll visit the press centre and will watch a documentary film demonstrating the liquidation and liquidators of the man-caused catastrophe on the 4th reactor. Photo-gallery, model of the Station, little known first-hand information about the sarcophagus conditions nowadays.

Then you’ll taste an ecologically clean delicious lunch: You'll participate in the cooking and checking the products with a dosimeter.

Extreme! You’ll have the opportunity to visit a "ghost city" Prypyat where you will see the flats, left in 1986 where private things still can be found: kitchen utensils, furniture, curtains, books, musical instruments, toys!! You will observe the town that was left by its 50 thousand inhabitants within 24 hours. The spirit of Soviet times darkness reign here. You can take photos of the National Emblem of the Soviet Union and of the Soviet Ukraine, slogans 'Peace, Labour and May", a red-yellow public call-box and other objects that are symbols of the 80-s in the Soviet Union. Also you will visit the Central Park with the big dipper. They planned to open this big dipper up on 1st May 1986 (public holiday). This big dipper has never seen its visitors. Pripyat is similar to a mummy. It has a body, but it doesn't have a soul.

Also you’ll have the opportunity to interview people who live in the Exclusive Zone. And at the end of the excursion you’ll pass radiation control on the block post.

17:00-19:30 - Return to Kiev.

Wine Tasting Tour Around Ukraine and Crimea

8 days / 7 nights

DAY 1 - Kiev

Upon arrival at Borispol Airport you will be met by the representative of our company and transferred to Kiev city centre.

Check–in to the hotel. After that you will have a city tour including St. Volodymyrskyy Cathedral, Opera House, Golden Gates, Sophievskaya Square, monument to Bohdan Khmelnitsky, monument to Princess Olga and Enlighteners, Myhaylovskiy Zlatoverhiy Cathedral.

Lunch in a local restaurant.

Visit to the Kiev’s plant of sparkling wines "STOLICHNIY".

Night transfer to Odessa by fast regular train.

DAY 2 - Odessa

Arrival to Odessa. you will have a city tour which involved some walking. The excursion will acquaint you with the city, its revolutionary, historical and architectural monuments, it’s past and present. Usually it begins with the Seaside Boulevard. Enjoy a pleasant stroll along Primorskiy Boulevard, the Palace of Count Vorontsov and the Palace of Weddings. Continue your walk past the impressive Potemkin Staircase, which was completed in 1841. You will then see Pushkin Monument. You will also see the exterior of the monumental Opera House. It was completed in 1887; the baroque-style building resembles the Vienna Opera house and Dresden Court Theatre, and was designed by the same architects.

Check-in and lunch at the hotel.

After lunch you will visit the plant of sparkling wine and brandy "Shustov" (founded in 1856).

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 - Odessa

After breakfast at the hotel you will have an opportunity to visit some of Odessa’s famous museums. First of all, the Archaeological Museum with its biggest Ukrainian collection of archeological discoveries of the Northern Black Sea region from Ancient Greek settlements Olviya, Tyras, Pantikapey, Khersones.

You are highly recommended to visit the Odessa Art Museum with a large collection of paintings ranging from medieval icons and classical art of the 18-19th centuries to the works of contemporary Odessa masters of realistic, modern and avant-garde.

Lunch in a local restaurant.

Then our coach will transfer you to the "SHABO" winery– the biggest wine farm in Odessa region.

After dinner you will be transferred to the railway station to catch the night train to Simferopol.

DAY 4 - Simferopol – Sevastopol

Early arrival to Simferopol. After a breakfast in a local café you will be transferred to Sevastopol. You will have a city tour there which includes Count Landing stage, Monument to the Scuttled Ships, and panorama "Defence of Sevastopol 1854-55".

After lunch you are invited to have a sea voyage to Inkerman along the Big Sevastopol Bay. You will visit Inkerman Plant of Vintage Wines and get acquainted with the technology of production. Wine-tasting will be a conclusion of this excursion.

Check – in and dinner at the hotel

DAY 5 - Sevastopol – Balaklava – Yalta

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

Driving through the Balaklava valley, acquaintance with the vineyards of the Golden Gorge company. After that you will be transferred to Alupka. Visit to the palace and the park of Count Vorontsov, a founder of the wine-making in the Crimea in the first half of the XIX century.

Transfer to Yalta and check – in.

After lunch you will have an opportunity to visit shops and laboratories of the Scientific-Research Institute of Wine-Making and Grape-Growing "Magarach". You will also get acquainted with the technology of its production. Wine-tasting. You will be able to appreciate a great variety of wines recognized internationally and awarded two Grand Prix Cups, gold medals at the international Wine Contests (including the famous White Muscat of the Red Stone and unique sherries).

DAY 6 - Yalta

After breakfast at the hotel you will visit wine cellars of Massandra Winery of Vintage Wines. There you will have a wine-tasting. Massandra vintage wines are internationally recognized and were awarded at many international contests for their superb and harmonious taste with 128 gold and silver medals and two Grand Prix. Then you are invited to visit Nikitskiy Botanical Garden and Livadia, a former summer residence of Nicholas II.

Lunch at the "Czar's Cuisine" restaurant. Visit to the Livadia palace , a place of the Yalta Conference in February 1945. Later you will be transferred to the Swallow's Nest (in fine weather a sea voyage is possible). You will see a miniature castle, an architectural emblem of the Crimea.

Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 7 - Yalta – Sudak – Simferopol

Breakfast at the hotel and check – out. You will be transferred to Sudak where you will see a famous Genoese Fortress. Then you will visit the settlement of New World, a centre of wine-making of the Eastern Crimea. Visit to the house-museum of prince Golitsin, where you will see picturesque Golitsin's grottos. Visit to the Winery of Sparkling Wines "the New World". Wine-tasting of several sorts of the New World champagne.

Transfer to Simferopol. Night transfer to Kiev by regular train.

DAY 8 - Kiev

Early arrival to Kiev. Direct transfer to the airport of Borispol.

Opera House Tour Around Ukraine and Crimea

8 days / 7 nights

DAY 1 - Kiev

Upon arrival at Kiev Borispol Airport, you will claim your baggage and pass through passport and customs control. Then you will be transferred to your hotel for lunch. You will have your afternoon free to rest. A walking tour of Khreshchatyk, the main and favourite street of the city, will be followed by a late afternoon Dnipro Cruise to see the Golden Domes of Kyiv in their sunset glory.

Dinner at hotel.

DAY 2 - Kiev

Panoramic tour of Kyiv including visit to Andrew’s church; panoramic observation of Kiev Opera House named after Shevchenko, Philharmonics Society, Kiev Conservatoire and Technical Music of Glier.

Lunch

Afternoon visit to Kyiv Philharmonics Society followed by St. Vladimir Cathedral – one of the central Cathedrals in Kyiv – in order to listen to the “lower” choir of the cathedral (located on the first floor near the altar) and upper choir of the cathedral (located on the second floor, on one of the transepts of the cathedral) – timing of the choir performance is subject to confirmation depending upon the date. Time at leisure.

Excursion to the Opera House followed by Opera house performance – name of the performance is subject to confirmation.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 - Kiev

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning visit to Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery including catacombs.

Lunch.

Proceed to Kyiv Academy of Music (Kiev Conservatory) followed by performance in Opera Studio theater that is a part of the National Academy of Music (Kiev Conservatory) and where 5th year students of academic vocal of the Academy perform – name of the performance is subject to confirmation depending upon the date. Preferably “Silva” or “Maritsa” by Kalman.

Dinner before transfer to train-station for overnight train to Odessa

DAY 4 - Odessa

Arrival to Odessa followed by short observation city tour including panoramic observation of famous Odessa Opera House that has aspects of Vienna Opera house in its architecture.

Proceed to the hotel for the check in

Dinner at the hotel and overnight.

DAY 5 - Odessa

After breakfast at the hotel you will proceed with the city tour of Odessa including visit to Uspenskiy cathedral and Preobrazhenskiy Cathedral. Walking excursion along Deribasovskaya Street – the main street of Odessa – with a stop near monument of famous Soviet Classic singer adored by thousands of people and listening to his songs played in the specially constructed booth nearby. Proceed to Palace of Gagarin. Concert in the Ball room of the Palace with an Opera singer and piano accompaniment.

Lunch.

Visit to Philharmonic Society.

Transfer to the train-station for a train to Simferopol.

DAY 6 - Yalta

Early arrival to Simferopol. Breakfast in a café. Transfer to Yalta.

Boat trip to Alupka with a choir on board (repertoire is subject to confirmation) followed by excursion to Vorontsov’s Palace in Alupka. Pick up by coach for the transfer for lunch.

Lunch at Swallow’s Nest.

City tour of Yalta including visit to Catholic Cathedral on Pushkinskaya street (Organ concerts are performed here on special occasions). Proceed to Livadia Palace that used to serve as a summer residence for Russian Tsar’s family. Excursion of the Palace followed by violin quintet concert of classical music in the Italian Yard of the Palace (optional Welcome Drink during the concert)

DAY 7 - Yalta – Sevastopol

Breakfast at the hotel followed by the check out

Transfer to Sevastopol followed by a city tour and visit to Panorama museum.

Military Tour Of Kiev and Crimea

7 days / 6 nights

DAY 1 - Kiev

Arrival to Borispol. After customs and passport formalities, you will be met by the representative of our company and transferred to Kiev. This ancient city is the capital of Ukraine and one of the biggest cities in Europe. It has been standing on steep hills overlooking the Dnipro River for more than 1,500 years. According to the ancient legend, Kyiv was founded by the three brothers Kyi, Schek and Khoryv and their sister Lybid, and it was named after the eldest brother Kyi. It is known as the mother city for all Eastern Slavic peoples. Kyiv Rus is the state from which Ukraine, Russia and Belarus are all descended.

Check-in and dinner at a hotel.

DAY 2 - Kiev

Breakfast at the hotel. Then you will have a city tour including St. Volodymyrskyy Cathedral, Opera House, Golden Gates, Sophievskaya Square, monument to Bohdan Khmelnitsky, monument to Princess Olga and Enlighteners, Myhaylovskiy Zlatoverhiy Cathedral. Departure on excursion to Babiy Yar after that. Babiy Yar is a place where happened mass murder by fascist occupants during 1941 – 43 years. Here more than one hundred thousand Kiev inhabitants, prisoners of war, prisoners of Gestapo and Syretskiy concentration camp were perished. 29th of September 1941 in Kiev an order of German command was announced: “All Jewish must come to the Melnykova street with a documents and jewel in the morning. For non-execution – shooting down”. That day thousands of people went to the street near cemetery. Later people were droved together to Babiy Yar. For two days around 35 thousand of Jewish people were killed. There is a memorable sign built over there.

After delicious lunch you are invited to visit the World War II museum. The museum was found in 1973. The complex combines the Museum building and the Motherland statue (62 meters high), gallery of sculpture expositions, commemorating the heroes of the battlefields and rear front, the Glory Cup (16 m diameter), and the exhibition of the arms from the World War II time. The main display is located in the area of 5.000 m and counts more than 12.000 relics. Numerous exhibits of documents of military commanders, participants of the war, collection of orders, medals and letters, documentary evidences of the war witnesses, unique things of the occupation and the liberation attract visitors' attention.

DAY 3 - Kiev

After breakfast at the hotel you will have a visit to the State Aviation Museum where over 60 models of real-sized air-crafts are presented. You will have opportunity not only to see the models but come inside and try the pilot’s place!

Lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch enjoy your time at leisure. Use it for shopping or revisiting one of Kiev’s many museums. Our advice is to visit Andriyivskyy Uzviz, the most ancient and steep street in Kyiv, which is Kyivites' favorite place for outdoor fairs, festivals, and concerts. Art galleries, shops, and studios make Andriyivskyy Uzviz the best place to shop for Ukrainian crafts and artworks. Cultural museums located here reveal the history of the legendary street and of the whole Kyiv.

After dinner at the hotel you will be transferred to the railway station for your overnight train to Simferopol.

DAY 4 - Simferopol - Sevastopol

Early arrival to Simferopol. Guided coach transfer from Simferopol to Sebastopol.

The first visit of the day will be to the main bastions of Sebastopol “Marmelon vert”, Point battery and memorial complex of Malakhov hill with the museum, monument to the French and Russian soldiers who fell in the assault of the Malakhov Hill in August, 1855 and the memorial sign on the site where the French military cemetery was during the Crimean War (the sign was opened in 1994).

Lunch at local restaurant

Visit to the Memorial complex of the Historical Boulevard including the museum of Panorama - the spectacular depiction of the main assault on June18, 1855. Visit to the Black Sea Navy museum.

Check in. Dinner at the hotel

DAY 5 - Alma

Breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to the battlefield of Alma (20 September, 1854) – the first battle on land between the Russians and the allied troops. The battle gave name to the famous Alma Bridge in Paris.

Lunch at Balaclava

Visit to Sapoune Ridge (Reglan’s Viewpoint, view of Balaclava valley).

Visit to Balaklava battlefield and the site of the International Monument of Reconciliation of Russian Federation, France, Great Britain, Italy, Ukraine and Turkey, opened in 1994. Continue to Balaclava. Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch you will have brief tour of Balaclava.

Dinner at local restaurant accompanied by folklore performance of Black Sea Fleet Ensemble.

Transfer to the hotel

DAY 6 - Sevastopol – Simferopol

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and transfer to Simferopol

Lunch at Simferopol

After lunch you are invited to visit Simferopol Local Lore Museum with its rich Crimean War exposition.

Transfer to the railway station to catch the train to Kiev.

Grand Tour Around Ukraine

14 days / 13 nights

DAY 1 - Kiev

Upon arrival at Kyiv Borispol Airport, you will claim your baggage and pass through passport and customs control. Then you will be transferred to your hotel for lunch. You will have your afternoon free to rest. A walking tour of Khreshchatyk, the main and favourite street of the city, will be followed by a late afternoon Dnipro River Cruise to see the Golden Domes of Kyiv in their sunset glory.

DAY 2 - Kiev

After breakfast at the hotel you will have morning half-day excursion to Pecherska Lavra (Monastery of the Caves), an active monastery founded in the 11th c. and centre of Christianity for Kyivan-Rus. Its complex of churches reflects a unique Ukrainian baroque style which is only surpassed by the beauty of the newly reconstructed Uspenskyj Cathedral (1998), destroyed by Soviet mines in 1941. The labyrinths of the "near" and "far" caves hold over 115 burial niches containing remains of St. Antoniy, Nestor the Chronicler, and many religious and political leaders. World-renowned Scythian Gold treasures are exhibited within its walls. The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra is included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. After delicious lunch at local restaurant you will have a tour to St. Sophia Cathedral and Monastery Complex, a real pearl of the world architecture. St. Sophia's thirteen gorgeous golden domes nicely blend with the city skyline. The grandiose ensemble was built by Prince Yaroslav the Wise in the XI century in commemoration of the victory over the Pecheneg tribe. The cathedral became a major cultural and political centre of Kyivan Rus and a site for receiving ambassadors from many countries. Inside, you will view the largest frescoes and mosaics collection in the world.

Further on you will move to St.Andrew’s Church, the Ukrainian Baroque church designed in 1754 by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. It is decorated and in applied ornament and timber fretwork. The interior represents sculpture and paintings of famous masters. The slender curves of its blue, white, gold and green exterior stand out against the skyline, perched up above the Podil district at the crest of the historic Upper Town, at the supposed site where the Apostle Andrew erected a cross. Its richly decorated interior features a three-tiered iconostasis and several paintings from the 18th century.

DAY 3 - Kiev

After breakfast at the hotel you are invited to the Ukrainian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life in Pirogovo. Spread out over scenic rolling hills dotted with groves of trees are a large number of 17th to 20th century wooden cottages, churches, farmsteads and windmills, many of them with manufactured flower and vegetable gardens and interiors furnished with fascinated old textiles, traditional furniture and tools. The museum is divided into seven small villages representing the regional areas of Podolia, Carpathia, Polesia, Poltava, Southern Ukraine, Sloboda Ukraine and the Central Dnipro River Valley 

After delicious lunch at one of the national restaurants in Pirogovo you will be transferred back to Kiev where you will have some free time for shopping or revisiting one of Kyiv’s many museums. Our advice is to visit Andriyivskyy Uzviz, the most ancient and steep street in Kiev, which is Kyivites' favorite place for outdoor fairs, festivals, and concerts. Art galleries, shops, and studios make Andriyivskyy Uzviz the best place to shop for Ukrainian crafts and artworks. Cultural museums located here reveal the history of the legendary street and of the whole Kiev.

Dinner followed by transfer to the train station for your overnight train to Odessa

DAY 4 - Odessa

Arrival in Odessa. Breakfast at the hotel.

Today you will be introduced to the largest seaport on the Black Sea and the third largest city in Ukraine. Your morning tour will include the Prymorskiy Boulevard and legendary Potemkin Staircase leading to the sea, the famous Opera and Ballet Theater, Troyitskaya and St. Paul Churches and the Art Museum. An afternoon walking tour will include Odessa’s greatest shopping spot, the extravagant 18th c. Paccazh corridor where a vaulted glass roof shields the designer boutiques and posh cafes.

Evening optional excursion to the theatre (in season).

DAY 5 - Odessa – Bilhorod Dnistrovsky - Odessa

A full day excursion to Bilhorod Dnistrovsky (until 1944 Akerman), a port city 100 km from Odessa. At the beginning of the new era the site was first occupied by a Greek colony and later a Roman colony called Tira. From the 13thc. Bilhorod was part of the Galician-Volyn Principality. Captured by Turkey in 1484 and renamed Akerman, it was the capital of the Bilhorod Horde. This 13-15c. fortress was built on the ruins of the ancient city of Tira. It is a unique monument of medieval defence architecture, the largest and sturdiest structure of its kind in Ukraine.

Late afternoon return to Odessa directly to the train station for our overnight sleeper train to Crimea

DAY 6 - Yalta

Morning arrival in Simferopol, the capital of Crimea, where we shall have a breakfast in a local restaurant before continuing to Yalta - a free day to enjoy the beach and rest. Weather permitting, an afternoon cruise to a fairy –tale Swallows Nest Castle.

DAY 7 - Yalta

Breakfast at the hotel. From the Greek word meaning shore, one of the most popular Black Sea resorts on the entire Crimean peninsula, Yalta has a wonderful Mediterranean climate and is set in the midst of 4,000 ft. mountains. Morning city tour will take us to Livadia Palace, where the "Big Three" met and set the history for Eastern Europe.

Lunch at restaurant Gornyyj Ruchey, known for its original local cuisine.

Our afternoon tour takes us to Alupka, situated on the coastal Ai-Petri. We visit Vorontsov's Palace and conclude this wonderful day with a wine tasting at the famous Massandra vineyards.

Dinner.

DAY 8 Yalta – Sevastopol – Yalta

Breakfast at the hotel. Then you will join your touring coach for a full day excursion to Sevastopol. Founded by the Greeks in the 5thc., Sevastopol was the bastion of the Byzantine Empire on the north shores of the Black Sea. It sustained considerable damage during the Russo-Turkish War of 1855 and WW II spectacularly presented in the great painting, which you will see. The Black Sea fleet anchors in present-day Akhtiarsky harbor. The highlight of your trip will be a visit to Chersonesus, an archaeological preserve, founded by the Greeks in the 4BC. Afternoon free to enjoy the promenades of Sevastopol.

Late evening return to Yalta.

DAY 9 - Yalta – Bakhchisarai – Simferopol

On the way to Simferopol train-station, we shall visit Bakhchisarai the 15 c. capital of the Crimean Khaganat. Built around a courtyard, its wooden construction is very typically Eastern in design and feel. Particular feature are the one hundred or so fountains fed by underground streams found throughout the palace. This include the Golden Fountain and Fountain of Tears. Another monument close to Bakhchisarai is the fortress of Chufut-Kale which was established in the late 6th or 7th century as a Byzantine stronghold and populated with local tribes of the Alans, who were the allies of the Empire.

Lunch in a local restaurant before transfer to the train station to catch our train to L'viv, the capital of Western Ukraine.

DAY 10 - Lviv

Early arrival in L'viv and transfer to hotel for breakfast.

Afternoon combination bus/walking tour.

Situated in the Western part of Ukraine, L'viv, the "City of Lion", is its heart and soul. Founded in the 13th c. by King Danylo Halytckyj, it was named in honour of his son Lev (Leo). Through centuries of Polish, Austrian, and Soviet occupation, L'viv was the gateway to "the East", but with independence in 1991, Lviv is finally free to develop its own Ukrainian identity. Highlights of the first city tour are Rynok, the 15-16th c. City Square, the Dominican Church, Armenian Church Complex, the Chapel of the Boyim Family, the Armenian Quarters, the Opera House and Lviv University. St. George's Cathedral, the stronghold of Western Ukraine's Catholic Church, is our final stop before lunch in a local cafe. Remainder of the day and dinner under own arrangements

DAY 11 - Lviv

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning's tour is to Shevchenko Hay, an open air museum with an active Bojko Church and replicas of Western Ukrainian Lemko and Boyko villages dating back to the 18thc. This "village" is a popular Sunday outing for Lviv residents. We continue to Lychakiv Cemetery to view graves of Ivan Franko, Solomiya Krushelnytcka, Volodymyr Ivasyuk, Oleksander Tysovsky and many others.

Lunch in local restaurant.

Remainder of the day and dinner under own arrangements.

DAY 12 - Lviv – Slavsk – Lviv

After breakfast at the hotel you will have a full day excursion into the foothills on the Carpathian Mountains. We pass charming towns like Stryy and Skole before reaching the ski resort of Slavsk - a ski lift ride, a short walk, lunch in a local restaurant and we return to Lviv via Truskavets, the famous spa resort.

Dinner

DAY 14 Lviv

Breakfast at the hotel.

Free day or optional excursion to Zolotchiv which is famous by its Zolochievskiy Castle, construction reflecting typical European military architecture and has not had significant reconstruction for centuries. Built in 1630 like a citadel with bastions, it’s surrounded by barrages. In the castle’s courtyard the Great Palace built in late Renaissance style and the Chinese Palace built by Jan III, the King of Poland, for his wife Maria Kasimira de Arcunion.

Day 4 - Lviv

Strolling around Lviv you can expect to find a dash of magic, as Lviv can hold its own with the most beautiful of Europe's cities. This dreamy metropolis has been both the capital of Habsburg Galicia, and a key city in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Today it's Ukraine's sweeping second city. The people are full of spirit, there's a banquet for culture vultures and the architecture can hardly fail to bowl you over.

Transfer from Odessa Railway Station to your hotel

Odessa is referred to as the "Pearl of the Black Sea" And is the 3rd largest city in Ukraine, the largest city along the Black Sea, and the most important city of Ukraine for trade. Odessa's mild climate, warm waters and sunlit beaches attract hundreds of thousands of people year around. Its shady lanes, beautiful lightly pastel buildings and cozy squares impart to the city a certain air of intimacy.

Day 6 - Odessa

Explore Odessa even further.
Odessa is simply enchanting with its marvelous architecture. Odessa's history as a thriving enterprise has left the city with some splendid architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries and a multifaceted, irrepressible spirit.

Day 7 - Odessa / Kiev


Transfer to Odessa Airport for an 08.30 flight to Kiev to connect with your flight home later that day.

Day 5 - Lviv

There are many museums and art galleries in Lvov The most notable are the National Gallery, the Museum of Religion, and the National Museman. With three major universities, and over 50 research institutes and colleges, Lvov is one of the most important education centers of Ukraine

Day 6 - Lviv

Lviv's historic churches, buildings and relics date back to the 13th century. Its architecture reflects a composite of European styles and historical periods. While most of its gothic architecture was destroyed by fire in the 16th century, there are numerous buildings constructed in the renaissance, baroque, and classic styles.

Transfer to Lviv railway station to catch the overnight sleeper train to Simferopol.

Day 7 - Lviv / Yalta

We will collect you from Simferopol railway station and transfer you to your hotel in Yalta - an hours ride.

Ambling along the Seafront - palm trees, beaches, shops, restaurants, nightlife - Yalta is a town that knows it's got style. In the evening during the high season the seafront is alive with street musicians, knife-jugglers, fire-eaters, caricaturists and artists

The Beaches - During the day in summer people throng to the beaches or go sightseeing. Yalta has three clean pebble beaches, a small one in the harbour and two long ones, one at each end of the seafront.
The Parks and the Coast - In spite of the summer heat, Yalta is a green town with lots of trees and a beautiful seafront park . If you want somewhere a bit cooler, for a quiet chat or perhaps an hour with a book, you'll find it in the park, and there are a couple of little cafes among the trees where you can get a welcome drink. Or a short ride away are the world famous botanical gardens at Nikita.

Day 8 - Yalta

You can walk for miles along the south coast from Yalta. The Sunlit Path (Solnechnaya Tropa) runs west from the Livadia Palace with spectacular views from the cliffs. And why not stop off at Miskhor and get the cable-car up to the top of Mount Ai-Petri, with fantastic views of the Black Sea and the mountains. Or take an excursion to Massandra Palace, Livadia Palace or a day trip to Sevastopol.

Day 9 - Yalta

And then of course, there's Anton Chekhov's house... And Yalta's nightlife... And the cable car to the top of Darsan Hill runs till 11pm - a cable-car for two, gently swaying up the hill in the darkness with Yalta beneath you and the lights of the ships out on the Black Sea - magic..

Day 10 - Yalta / Kiev

Transfer to Simferopol Airport for an early flight to Kiev's Boryspil airport to connect to your flight home later in the day.
